Originally alarmed by the obnoxious honking,
I now look for their familiar brown bodies
to grace my morning sky.
Extended dark heads and feet reveal
distinguishing white accents. But the
true distinction of these geese comes
with the now familiar noise, a noise
which I welcome as light chatter, the
chatter of old friends sharing their day.
Nice poem. I sometimes miss the noise of geese even though at times they can be annoying.
