Full of fast moving storm clouds,
the darkening sky bellowed and lowered
as if an open parachute preparing to land.

Cusp of Winter

Today was light and breezy,
with some gusts, but not a storm.
A light sweater was all I had,
and it kept my body warm.

Just yesterday was sunny,
shirt-sleeve weather, they’d say,
But tomorrow will be stormy,
with cold and blustery rain.

There seems to be no rhythm
to what the sky will bring.
‘Tis the changing of the seasons,
the cusp of Wintering.
